No. In another casino, the reason was that I indicated in the profile an address where I do not live and asked to change it to an address in another country so that I could confirm it. Here, I did not indicate anything in the profile at all. And my IP matches the address in the bank statement.
There are updates. In the correspondence with support, they said that I should re-upload the statement because they are not satisfied with the quality of the photo. Most of these online services use customer support staff that are not too technical (They probably do the job remotely) thus the wait as they forward the details to the technical team that is not usually working 24-7.

Also, if the game provider is involved in the investigation, which sometimes happens, then you have no choice but to wait. Maybe they flagged your account due to some patterns (deposits, games played, location etc)
