The same for me. There's nothing wrong in giving out some of the winnings but we must always think of our family first before we think about strangers. Will there be enough money for the family if I give a portion of this winnings? Will they even accept the fact that I have given some of it?
It's not wrong as long as it is sincere and you are not stepping on someone else. There are people who don't like being given such things or money because they feel like their ego is being stepped on and so we must be careful about the people we choose to give the "balato".
As a Filipino kid, this was already a thing for me, we play cards and when I win I will give back a part of my winnings to the kids who are cheering for me. It's a traditional thing that already happens even when you are young.
Everyone has their own characteristics, but you are right when you say that when victory is achieved, the family will enjoy the results, after the family is enough, they will give it to friends and relatives who are not in the same house as us, why must it be family because the family will accept us when we are in trouble and lacking, not friends or relatives outside the house
