The omission from the test squad is perhaps acting as a wake up call for Nathan McSweeney. He scored 78 from 49 balls for Brisbane Heat today at the Big Bash League and guided them towards a win against the Adelaide Strikers. Lloyd Pope was the only Adelaide bowler who escaped punishment, and ended up with figures of 3-0-17-2. Henry Thornton and Cameron Boyce on the other hand conceded more than 10 runs per over. Heat is at the top of the points table now, but it is too early to predict anything.
