South Africa bowlers were playing very well in the beginning and were stopping the runs of the Pakistan batsmen but I was surprised how well Pakistan scored 308 runs in 47 overs to make it difficult for South Africa. For which they have to play hard and fast. Because they can come under pressure anytime by Pakistan bowlers which will stop their wickets and runs and if this happens then it will be difficult for them to achieve the target. The Pakistan bowler has also taken 2 wickets in 9 overs and conceded only 57 runs. If South Africa are to win this match they will have to use their wickets and pace to defeat Pakistan before they play a full innings.
In fact, the South African team performed a little better in the first three overs, meaning their run rate was above 6 at that time, but after their first wicket fell, their performance started to drop continuously, which they could not recover from, and the fall of the wicket added another dimension.
Although my expectations were different at the beginning of this series because the South African team was able to beat Pakistan well in the T20 series, I thought they would do the same in the ODI series but looking at it here, their performance, especially in batting, has paid off a lot. And I think that is what brought them to the brink of a whitewash today.
However, if the Pakistan team can keep their wickets and maintain consistency at their current run rate, they can still win, but I think they will lose all four of their remaining wickets before that happens.
