This is how the top four of the Spanish La Liga looks like at the moment. I don't think any of us would have predicted anything similar to this after Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4:0 in October but this is actually the reality at the moment. Barcelona started the season on a very good note and were even tipped by many to reclaim the league title at the end of the season but the Catalonian club have had very poor results in recent times and are now trailing league leaders by three points and second player Real Madrid by two points. If both Madrid clubs wins their outstanding games, Barcelona will be 6 and 5 points behind respectively.
The tide is turning now as Madrid were the club in pain at the start of the season but now it's Barcelona who have really crumbled in the last few weeks leading up to the halfway point of the season.
Barcelona have had a lot of problems it seems and Flick still can't fix this which makes the situation even more difficult for them. Even if you look at their total losses this season it is the same as what they had last season which of course this obviously has to be a lot of improvement because after all Flick was previously expected to restore the era of Barcelona but what is happening now is a very difficult situation that they get.
Something has gone wrong with the Barcelona system in recent weeks and it seems that if things continue like this then the praise for Flick at the start of the season will be inversely proportional to the criticism that continues to occur in the second half of the season if Barcelona's performance does not improve again.
