It is the consistency that sets Liverpool up above all others so far. The biggest strength I think they have is that winning with just one goal is the big advantage they have in most of the games. They don't need to score 4 times because they concede 3 times, but they score 1 goal and after that it is extraordinarily tough to beat them. They can counter, they can defend well and they are ready to play the time and every advantage that is running for them.
Liverpool has really become a very formidable team this season and they are not allowing this opportunity they have in both the Champions league and the premier league to slip out from them that is why they have remained consistent in both competitions. Liverpool's counter attack is the best so far for me followed by Chelsea in the EPL. I just wish Liverpool can still maintain consistency till the end of the season because i will really be happy to see them end with a glory, be it the Champions league title or the premier league title because they have been working very hard to keep up with their form since the season kicked off.
I never thought that the new coach would be able to put Liverpool into this position. He is doing a great job and it speaks for himself.
Actually, not many people believed in Arne Slot when he was newly appointed as Liverpool's head coach but i think Jurgen Klopp already set the pace for him to inherit, that is why he didn't find it difficult with the team. Respect to Jurgen Klopp for building a strong team in Liverpool before his departure. He did a great job before he left the club in a good condition and Arne Slot walked on an already made ground, reason why he has achieved this level of progress with the club.
Yes I think hardly anybody thought that Liverpool would be standing where they are after Klopp left the club. But to be honest Klopp left a team behind that was so well coached and prepared. Now since Slot was totally unknown, I thought that the team spirit might decline significantly, but he managed to keep everyone in shape and they play an impressive game. If they score a goal, it is so hard to fight back against them because as you said their counter attack football is so effective. And Salah is still doing so well. I thought he may have had the best years of his life under Klopp, but he is still world class level.
