In fact Pakistani batsman Saim Ayub should be called the hero of today's match win as his 101 runs helped Pakistan set a tough target of 308 runs while South Africa performed well enough to be bowled out for 271 runs. Siam Ayub has already scored 414 runs in eight matches with two centuries which means if he can continue his career like this then his position in the Pakistan team will definitely be strong in future. The performance of Pakistan's top order batsmen in yesterday's match was truly outstanding due to which Pakistan was able to whitewash South Africa. However, after losing the series in T20, Pakistan balanced by winning the series in ODI. Congratulations Pak.
The ODI series is not that important. But the test series that comes after this is extremely important for South Africa. And hopefully, their injured players such as Keshav Maharaj should be fit by the time the test matches start. South African bowlers looked weak throughout this series. Marco Jansen suffered a dip in his form, Kagiso Rabada was inconsistent, while Kwena Maphaka and Corbin Bosch struggled at the top level. For comparison, their batting looked relatively solid, with Heinrich Klaasen and Temba Bavuma in good form.
