Yeah, just because they did badly last year doesn't mean that they are going to do badly this year neither, they are going to of course do better plus even Leverkusen is not doing as well as they did last year, so it's normal for Bayern to be leading right now. I think it's clear that we are going to end up with a much better situation, so we should avoid having this kind of discussion yet.
The thing about the last year is that I doubt even the now better Bayern would have been able to in that if we don't consider direct matches with Bayer.
In the last season, Bayer was undefeated and lost only 12 points in 6 draws, right now current season, despite being the first Bayern has lost 9 points in 15 games, basically if they lose 4 more points they can't reach the 90 points Bayer won out of 102 possible.
So, the bottom line is that even right now Bayern is performing worse than Bayer was doing last season.
