As at 2020,The poll by Binance 2021 (data collected in October 2020 across 178 countries) indicated that women are only 5% of the total number of crypto users worldwide. However, crypto ownership among women rose significantly, from 18% in 2023 to almost 30% at the start of 2024.The smaller number of female investors compared to men can be attributed to the fact that only 48% of women participate in the stock market, in contrast to 66% of men, coupled with the observation that women generally do not prioritise investing as a top financial endeavour.
Despite the fact that men are being seen as the risk bearer and women being seen as weak, there are others who have stood out of the crowd and made efforts towards investments in bitcoin such as the likes of Eunice Wong,Irene Zhao, and so many others.
