In my view OP has cosmetic way of looking at things. The shot cut to poverty is loafing and inactive life rather than gambling. Stirring imposed by gambling on people who have active live and have skills to make money in all possible ways may result in enhancing the entrepreneur's streaks relevant to given characters. Thus, all depends on the given character. If the person is lazy per se then the poverty at the end no matter whether he is gambler or not .
If someone wanders around like a vagabond without working, then at the end of the day, there will definitely be pressure on them because who will pay for the expenses of running a family if they wander around without working.
Gambling plays a significant role in creating poverty in people, but if you live a more lazy life, it will not take long for you to become poor. There are many people around us who support their families with loans but live a lazy life without working, and they end up living in extreme misery at the end of their lives.
You wont be able to notice it out until you do able to experience for yourself on the moment or time that you will be suffer those unfortunate conditions. We do know that people wont really be stopping out on doing something not until they will be significantly having some issues when it comes to financial aspect. As long they will be able to continue on what they are doing and having the money to make use of on playing gambling then this is where you will definitely be seeing yourself on continue on playing no matter what.
The worst here is that you do tend to take up some loans or borrowing money just for the sake of gambling then it will be the fastest way on to reach up poverty or simply sleeping on the streets.
