his season nothing has changed and Real are still one of the favorites to win the Champions League. They faced big problems in defense, first because of the loss of Courtois and then several main defenders, there were also problems with injuries to the forwards, but over time Courtois returned, and all the forwards and Ancelotti learned to play with new defenders. Although Real's defense is still not super reliable, they have definitely gone through very difficult times and now look much better.
But all of that really made them really messed up, many defeats that should not have happened they experienced some time ago and although now it has been little better but it is not really clear to be able to improve significantly.
Ancelotti is reportedly targeting several more players for defenders and midfielders, this might be able to help but I doubt whether the new players will be able to immediately perform optimally and make Real Madrid strong team again and really feared for the completion of the UCL competition this season.
Everyone must hope that Real Madrid will rise and we will just follow how they develop next.
