I think Saudi is also realistic about the investment steps they are taking in developing football, they are not competing to be number one in the world, but they want to make the Saudi Pro League one of the many top leagues in the world, especially in the Asian region. It is very excessive if Saudi is ambitious to become the mecca of world football, I agree that it is a little impossible even though they have abundant finances. Saudi seriousness in building its domestic football can be seen from the long-term plans they have set, one of which is to host the 20234 World Cup.
It would be a big thing if they intend to become the mecca of world football, it is not impossible, but it takes a very long time, and keep in mind they will compete with Europe which can now be said to be the mecca of world football.
But the steps they are taking now have at least made them better known to many people. It doesn't have to be the mecca of world football, but they have to be able to show that the competition here is no less than the world's top leagues, such as the English League. They have shown that now and hope they can maintain it.
