There is a saying that the devil you know is better than the Angel you don't know. If I am a club manager or the owner of Liverpool football club, I will not fail to give Mohamed salah any contract that he wants till he retires in active football. When you sign another word class player, it is a thing of probability because it is not certain how long it will take for him to cope with the club. But Mo Salah has a proven track record for so many seasons in Liverpool and the age is also not catching up with him. Even if in the next few seasons, he becomes older, the only thing to be done is to move him closer to the post to continue scoring.

Saying that mo salah will have to stay more in order to be a true legend of the club doesn't necessarily make perfect sense. Whether he stays further or he leaves today, Mo Salah is an indisputable legend of Liverpool and one of the most important players to grace the EPL.
You are right here. Moh Salah irrespective of his age is an outstanding player that you can vouch for to perform better any day anytime in all competitions. Currently one of the best wingers we see in the premier league today. IMO Moh Salah is tested and trusted, there is no need to delay an offer for a new contract to him until he decides to retire. Liverpool has been a better team for him and the winger deserves better pay. So if they want to offer him a new contract I think his pay should be increased as well. I don't want to start listing his stats in all competitions but he deserved any good amount offered to him.

Perhaps the coach is scared that age can catch up with him any day just like it did to Kevin De Bryune. Ageing is no respecter of no man. Even the strongest gets weak when they start to age. With that Mo Salah may not be as important as he is but the contract may still be a long way to go.
