The current position of Barcelona is enough evidence to prove that the motivation is no longer in the team, the energy and winning confidence of Barcelona was very high from the beginning of the season I even predicted them to win the league since the performance of Real Madrid was not good at the beginning but seeing how the performance of Barcelona has gone from good to bad makes me wonder if they are confidence of coming back to winning ways again this season.

Barcelona losing last week was surprising because they played against a weak them and they had the home advantage and coming to this week they lost 1:2 at home again against Atletico Madrid and they are currently occupying the 3rd place while Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid occupy the first and second position respectively with both teams having a game in hand. Barcelona manager needs to do anything possible to get the team's energy back otherwise they will end up dropping more points.

I think the team lacks motivation and if they can be motivated then they might get back to their former state where they once had their way against every other team in the league. Right now they can't even beat a weak team in the league, they do not make use of their home advantage and that's why no team is scared of them and this is one area the coach has to work on so as to restore the team's confidence and get them back to winning ways and also back to fighting for the top position where they were before they started loosing some important games that led to their sudden decline.

Right now the standings do not really scare me because the points difference between the top four isn't much and at such you can't really tell who is going to clinch the title considering the inconsistent run of all the top four teams. Further more, the standings goes to show how bad Real Madrid and Barcelona have been performing which was what gave room for Athletico Madrid to overtake both of them to the top.
