It is insane how things turned against them and remember how Barcelona was talking about a lifetime contract for Flick... But there is nothing left of what seemed to be one of the best Barcelona teams in a long time. Unbelievable how they have beaten Real Madrid and now it is hard to imagine that they are going to play for the title anymore.
If Atletico wins the game they still have in hand, it is 6 points already and Barcelona is unlikely to have a long winning streak.
Many have high expectations of Flick after a very good start to the season and not a few fans even consider that the Flick Era is the best era compared to the last few Barcelona seasons just because their start to the season went more than expected but in the end a good start to the season is not a guarantee for him to continue to survive and succeed in continuing the season and now is a test that actually inevitably must be overcome immediately.
Their last 10 matches in all competitions ended with 3 wins 2 draws and 5 defeats obviously this is not a good statistic even with these results they were thrown from the top of the comfortable standings which makes this should be a reference to be able to change conditions for the better because it is not impossible when the situation continues the wave of praise that previously existed will turn into unending criticism for Flick.
Now the problem in the middle of the season is finally much more serious for Barcelona, thrown into 3rd place with a gap of 2 points from Madrid and 3 points from Atletico who still have 1 match remaining, this will clearly disturb the mentality of the players if Flick cannot anticipate from now on.
Then obviously these fans get their expectations wrong for some reason because talking about an era in conjunction with the name Flick is quite ridiculous as the guy is the Barcelona coach for five months now. But it demonstrates in an interesting way how quickly things can change from good to bad for anyone.
But this is the same thing with young talent when they play a few good games, score a few goals and maybe are great dribblers, the first thing you can read all over the place is that the next Messi is in the making. It is ridiculous to use those words ever because they are usually talking about players that haven't won anything at that point. The chance that any player will reach the quantity and quality of individual awards that Messi reached is essentially zero until it is not anymore. I believe in the saying that every record will be broken at some point, but you know what I am talking about. It is the same in tennis with Djokovic. Or to believe that someone can win the French Open 13 times like Nadal...
