What Liverpool needs to is get new contracts for current players and not think about getting new players. Mo Salah might be getting old but he has 2-3 more years in him and can give a lot to Liverpool. The only thing is if Mo Salah isnt greedy for money and takes the saudi deal. Trent is replaceable but is still really a good player for Liverpool
It's actually essential and important they get new contracts from some of the key players makers who have got a whole lot to do with the club growth but it still doesn't mean they are going to relax and not get new players if the need be especially around their defense, Salah isn't and is yet to make a clear and official statement about an exit from Liverpool, although he may later on in the future but for now I believe he will still want to give his best to Liverpool a d the team will not be lax about making sure they still get him in the team for the time he still appears very much productive enough for the team.
This should not be a concern for Salah as he continues to show his consistent performance and score goals. There is still a lot of time left before his contract with Liverpool expires in June and hopefully good news awaits him. There is no clear indication from Liverpool management that Salah will sign a new contract before the end of the season. Salah has previously expressed some frustration with Liverpool over not receiving any offers from the club but recently he has expressed his disappointment that a move away is more likely. However, surprisingly, despite his disappointment, his performance has been very good and he scored 2 goals and assisted 1 goal in the last match against Tottenham. His performance in the current league has been very good and he has scored 15 goals and assisted 11 goals in 16 matches so far.
I think Salah is an asset for Liverpool and they should try to keep him at their club in the future. He is a hardworking player who has enough to give to the team and has the potential to play even better in the future. Liverpool are still at the top of the points table and therefore Salah's role should not be denied. They are at the top with 39 points, having won 12 and drawn three of their 16 matches.
