Liverpool will greatly regret Salah departure if they give an opportunity for the Saudi club side to come sweep him, Salah rating for almost all his stay at Liverpool has remained greatly the same and even this season, I know they maybe considering selling him or not give long contract base on the number of years left In his career, but they should sell him when they must have find a player replacement for MO Salah, else they may regret of their decision.
Wouldn't it be better to extend his contract rather than find a replacement? There is no better winger in Europe this season, and finding a replacement would cost more than extending his contract.
He rejected a big money move to Saudi last season so I don't think moving to Saudi is an option.
Liverpool is actually in a dilemma, M Salah contract will end in June 2025, if Liverpool does not immediately submit a new contract extension, then M Salah will be free to communicate with other clubs. Meanwhile, with the January transfer market about to open, M Salah also has the potential to leave sooner, this is actually very worrying. How could it not be, if M Salah leaves, Liverpool will have difficulty finding a suitable replacement, maybe they will even experience a decline in performance so that they lose momentum to win trophies. I agree with you, the best way is to submit a new contract, it will be more budget friendly, besides M Salah quality is also no longer in doubt. Currently, we may not see Liverpool at the top of the Premier League and Champions League standings without M Salah contribution.
Given the success rate Liverpool is currently experiencing I don't think mo Salah would want to leave a club that is currently at the peak of winning the premier League and other promising European competitions for another club, same thing goes to Liverpool as I don't think they are not going to give mo Salah an extension of contract especially with the way he has performed this season, he has been able to score over 15 goals for Liverpool just this and is highly likely to score more before the end of the season. In any case if Liverpool ever decide to let go of him then it should be because of age factor which for me is not really an issue, at best they should extend his contract for two seasons instead of letting him go outrightly.
