What features else is there to be added if not the ability to send Bitcoins through the Lightning Network for cheaper and faster transactions, plus as another layer of privacy as well.

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Any demand for Lightning transactions added will encourage the growth of the Lightning Network. It's a win for Bitcoin.

I agree this would be awesome. It's likely multilayer payment support would come to "Wasabi 3.0" in the form of transferable coinjoin credentials. Basically, this would be non custodial ecash that expires and must be claimed on chain. Ark pairs nicely with this.

Plus the more demand Lightning has for transactions, the fees will probably increase, no? I have made this debate before in the technical subforum, but everyone told me that it will not happen because Lightning was designed to compete to lower routing fees. Although they're right, but capital is limited and Bitcoin is a sort of capital. The Lightning Network liquidity providers are altruistic today, but it will probably mot stay that way forever.

With more users in Lightning, the government will notice. BUT to monitor transactions in Lightning they would need to become liquidity providers themselves, which will be good for the network.
