Chelsea have finally lost and it was to Fulham. The same Fulham that held Arsenal a d Liverpool to a draw and I must say they deserved the win. Fulham have not being able to win Chelsea at the Stamford bridge since 1979 and with such a beautiful result, it was able to put a dent in Chelsea's record as the Blues remain at 2nd place (temporarily) with 35 points and this loss could prove dangerous for them being that they could further drop should Arsenal win their game tomorrow to Ipswich.
Chelsea lost, they were unstable according to observers, the decline in the game in the second half caused them to lose control of their game. It was really unfortunate because Chelsea played well in the first half but Fulham was able to make a comeback to get 3 points. Losing points is certainly very difficult for Chelsea because they are trying to catch up on points from Liverpool, but they failed to do so.
While Liverpool managed to get 3 points, they are so comfortable at the top of the standings, even Salah is very routine in scoring goals. I think this season Liverpool is so easy to lock the title because their competitors have not found a consistent form in their performance. Liverpool is currently 7 points ahead of Chelsea, even that could be more because Liverpool has only played 17 matches.
I feel Chelsea lost because of too much confidence or finally a club was able to bring out one thing they sorely lacked which is in the area of their defense. They enjoyed a good first half and even after they got the goal, Fulham kept mounting pressure on them and I think Chelsea would have gotten more than the goal they got had their striker, Nicholas Jackson being confident enough when ever he was with the ball.
True, Liverpool were able to extend their lead at the top by 7 points after they came from behind to thrash Leicester at Anfield and it looked so easy but it was anything but. The way Mohammed Salah scores and involves himself in games is how a good striker should behave but he seems to make others forget he's a winger because of how well makes use of his chances and delivers.
At the moment, he's the player with the highest number of goals and assists in the EPL and I think it was well deserved.
