If we think about physical jobs and people going through hardships to do them, like miners during the industrial revolution, then we will surely want to retire as soon as possible. But today there are many jobs that can be done with a computer. And if you have accumulated enough money to retire, you can also make a small investment to start a project that motivates you. That is why I say that I plan, one way or another, never to retire, at least as long as my cognitive abilities allow me to do so.

What about you guys?

I thought retirement is used only for people working under someone, either private or public sectors to define them when they reach a certain age they’ve set for such jobs. I don’t think a retirement is befitting to one who his working for themselves and their own Boss. We all do this hardwork to make money and when we already made them, it is okay to reduce the work load and have more time to live a less stressful life.

The stress and the energy we put in is for the money and when the main purpose is been achieved it’s better to allow the body take some rest and can just be engaging in less stressful work to patch up with what you have. Truth be said, humans will never stop looking for more to add to what they have, it’s just natural that it’s relatable to every human. Retirement could just be a deceiving word but in real time we can’t retire until we are no more.
