There is still plenty of time to make changes to their performance and I am also confident that Manchester City can get out of their slump and do everything to stay in the Champion League competition.
Manchester City still have 2 more matches and against PSG is their toughest opponent and if you look at the overall strength despite the slump that has hit Manchester City at this time I am still optimistic that Manchester City can win the match to advance to the play-off round.
I think it's too early to say Manchester City failed in the early stages of this season's Champions League even though their performance was actually very bad. Manchester City is still very likely to qualify for the round of 16 if they can stay in the playoff zone and win the match, but what is certain is that the competition is never easy.

So far, Manchester City is only 1 point away from Real Madrid, which also has a chance to stay in the playoff zone. Manchester City is a team that is expected to rise from its slump in the Premier League and Champions League, but I do not rule out that they could also fail because of the team's lack of performance.

The word failure maybe goes too far, but they screwed it. They won't make it into the top 8, which entails playoff games and nobody knows who that opponent will be. Could be Real Madrid, could be PSG, could be Juventus Turin or Atalanta or Atletico. Atletico is probably going to make it, but all the opponents are potentially their opponent in playoff games and this could be the end for them. That is why some kind of failure has already happened. The last thing that Manchester now needs is additional games because of missing the top 8 and as I said in a worst case scenario those games could be deemed preliminary finals.

If you look back how they played against Sporting, not even Sporting would be a nice opponent for them in the playoffs. It's not looking good for them and all those results in the Premier League are not the result of unlucky days. It is because they are bad.
