In many industries and fields, speaking the truth isn't well-received because lies align with the beliefs of the masses and serve the interests of those in power.
In today's world, letting out the truth to public consumption as it is can be detrimental to the individual's career in the industry or field. You will be termed unprofessional and unethical with working principle if you endeavour to be honest and truthful about issues and situations to public consumption. People get fear of attack from those in high and mighty places and by that they choose to play in the tune of those who pays the piper. If we're to be frank, the society we live in has been damaged.
But we have to keep embracing and promoting truthfulness, regardless of what it will cost us.

Imagine where you are faced with threat to your family's lives should you want to say the truth on an issue that can bring down a gang of disturbing syndicate in the society. I wonder who will intentionally want to risk the lives of their family members regardless...
