Dortmund chances of being involved in the Bundesliga trophy fight are very small, but they still have a big chance to secure a ticket to the Champions League next season. Dortmund are already 11 points behind Bayern Munich, and 7 points behind Leverkusen, it is certainly not an easy job to reduce the points gap that has been formed. Nuri Sahin certainly has to work hard to secure the remaining opportunities, and it seems that Dortmund need to recruit new players in the January transfer market in order to be able to perform consistently and get back on track in the second half of the season.
Not all teams will take advantage of the January transfer window, most of them will want to still utilizing their existing players and train to make them better than before. The Bundesliga competition is actually getting out of the reach of Borussia Dortmund because of their poor and inconsistent performance. They have had the chance in the past to win the league title and have failed several times given the opportunity to Bayern Munich. Now that other teams are coming up in the fight of the league title, their strength could not match that of the upcoming teams and so they may not be found in the fight of the league title. We just have to wait to see if they can even make it to the top four of the Bundesliga this season.
