The only thing left for Sri Lanka in this series is to avoid whitewash and this is possible only if they won third T20I. Sri Lanka played well in first T20I but New Zealanders dominated today's game. Today New Zealand gave target of 186 and Sri Lankans were 45 runs short of this target. Now pressure is on Sri lanka in the final game and they have the capability to win the last T20I to avoid whitewash. To win the last game, Sri Lanka need to control New Zealand batters and stop them from giving big target in case they are batting first.
In the second T20 match yesterday we thought maybe Sri Lanka would win very easily with a target of 187 runs but Sri Lanka were four wickets up to 127 runs but then the next 6 Sri Lankan batsmen got out to collect only 14 runs. So it is easy to understand that Sri Lanka will be whitewashed in the T20 series because there were some easy matches which Sri Lanka could not win. So in the last match too, New Zealand will want to whitewash and that's how they will perform.
