Chelsea coach gamble the game and face the consequency by losing the game. I already know it won't end well after seeing their lineup but I never expected a two to nil scoreline, I was actually expecting a draw result. Ipswich was the newly promoted team but Chelsea was the one playing like the newly promoted team yesterday despite their dominance. They had about twenty shots but none was successful. This simply shows how unclinical their attack was. Maresca playing players who doesn't deserve playing time is to be blamed for their loss. Players like Disasi who's a disaster to Chelsea defense shouldn't be playing when winning matters. Maresca initial statement is now clear to everyone, Chelsea is not in the title race.
Wrong player rotation will have a bad impact on the result and maybe this is an important lesson for Maresca. Chelsea did not play like usual in the first half or in the second half and I saw there were many mistakes made by players that made the game much less optimal. Ipswich are not a tough opponent and this should have been an opportunity for Chelsea to maintain their second position in the standings but losing this match has dropped them to fourth in the standings.
Ipswich didn't have many chances and a successful penalty by Delap put Ipswich ahead before Hutchinson opened the scoring for a second goal in the 53rd minute. A very painful defeat for Chelsea because they should have won the match to stay in second place in the standings.
I didn't see this coming, and I was disappointed towards Chelsea's performance yesterday. How will they allow a weak team like Ipswich to get three points easily yesterday. Maresca needs to try and stable the club performance so that they can be consistent. Otherwise, Chelsea might keep going down the table. Two consecutive losses is not a mistake, but a decline in performance.
