I clicked the link you quoted in op and I saw that everyone was just copying and pasting one nonsense long writeup. Was it as bad as that? No wonder I have read many times that some good users of the forum left the forum in those periods when spamming became so unbearable.

If merits were not in place then, how about banning users for plagerism. Because what I saw was not only spam but also plagerism. It's cool we are enjoying good forum now even if we are not at an ideal stage yet. We should all be proactive because this advent of Ai could be worse.
