Now that financial institutions and government are becoming interested in Bitcoin, which we all know how this is going to look like on the future.
If what you are suspecting is going to happen in the future is the government controlling bitcoin, then you are mistaken.
What they can only do is buy enough bitcoin, and what they hold is what they have total control of, and what you hold in your wallet you have control over unless you decide to hold it in a centralised system where they can still detect what happens to it. The only way they can affect bitcoin negatively is through price manipulation with high volume; under their control, they can easily cause panic in the market.
They would want to take control. If Satoshi is still alive, how would he feel and what if he wakes up one day decides to do what I don't want to imagine about?
Wake up and do what exactly? Empty all the bitcoin in his possession? That's very much a possibility but unlikely to happen, or wake up and decide to shut down the blockchain?
