There is something people does not understand for investment and the trading someone who is a trader of cryptocurrency that person is not an investor but someone who purchase different kinds of cryptocurrency and hold for long time or a short time that person can be classified as an investor not someone who is a trader, but people in their own way of understanding things they do say that a trader is an investor I think it is a misconception from my way of understanding what is threading and what is investment, who purchase a Bitcoin and the sell within a short time that person will be probably called an investor and is equal as someone who purchase a bitcoin and the hold for long time.
Your explanation about Bitcoin investment seems to be inaccurate because there's no short term holding or short term investment in bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin require one to accumulate and hold for longer period of time for it to yield good profit over time. Then in regards to purchasing different cryptocurrencies can also be tagged as gambling because shitcoins and Altcoins lacks growth fundamentals, its important to focus and channel your funds on bitcoin which has shown resilience and profitability over the years, can be more vital move compared to investing in cryptocurrencies that might lack solid growth fundamentals.
Because Onyeeze said about " different kinds of cryptocurrency", quote.
So that's why there are short and long term in the post regarding investing / trading with them.
So, all matches up in my book.
In my opinion, someone can be called a long-term bitcoin investor, in general they always hold bitcoin for a period of more than 5 years. Because if for example the duration is less than 5 years, in my opinion someone like that cannot be called a long-term investor in bitcoin. Especially those who buy bitcoin and sell it within a few months, in my opinion, people like that can be said to be traders and not investors. However, everyone certainly has a different perspective on this matter. However, I personally only draw conclusions from the events that are currently happening. Because currently many people are investing in bitcoin in the long term, and the duration is quite long (more than 5 years). That's why I say that long term investors in bitcoin should hold bitcoin for at least 5 years.
And yes, investing in Bitcoin is certainly better than investing in Altcoins. Because in essence Bitcoin has risks that are not as big as Altcoins. Because Bitcoin is clearly decentralized, it is impossible for anyone or anyone to manipulate or take its liquidity. This is different from Altcoins, which mostly have a centralized nature. So the worst case scenario is that the liquidity can be taken away by the founder of the coin and the price can drop drastically or even be zero. That's why investing in Altcoins really has quite a high risk.
