In my country, almost everyone and everything works during holidays, only people who are employed in the public sector have a guaranteed day off during holidays. Since it's a poor country, people have no other option but to work during holidays and since local or international companies know this situation, they use this advantage and create such a working environment that they make people work or they won't receive their salary.
The benefit of this situation is that shops and markets are open, you don't need to buy anything in advance. You can go out anywhere anytime during Christmas or New Year and shops will be open 24/7.

And I do not even see anything wrong with working during the holidays because let us assume that because we are on holiday we will eat there is no way that it is possible to if you are in the public sector then I don't think there is need to work during the holidays and even people that work during those holidays it won't be as much as when it is a normal working day because the holiday is a time that we have to spend with our families and friends and when we include, our spouse then it should be a beautiful moment you spend with your spouse so people on public sector need to take their life seriously because people that work in a public place are always not serious.

And most people who will make you work during holidays are supposed to add extra allowances to the person's income so we don't have to be bothered because when there is extra cash people will be encouraged to want to be willing to do more work but not everyone will be happy with extra work but with extra cash, everything will be in place so there will no need for the complaint because you are paid for the extra job.

and taking about does with business don't want to know if there is a holiday or not so it depends, what the person is doing and if they are doing something serios then they wont even think about the holidays.
