It is almost impossible to figure out the algorithm of a computer game; at least you need to have a fat wallet to understand some strategy.

There is no strategy that can help you with virtual sports, all the results are predetermined just as slot games, absolutely nothing matters, because of the RNG and the RTP long term you're going to lose money no matter what, you're playing against math, so zero chances.
Well in that case is there really a point in learning about strategies or whatnot about virtual sports?

None at all.
Virtual sports run basically on the odds presented, you have 1.25 so it will normally win one match out of 5, of course, the chances are slimmer than the odds show because of the house edge being factored in, so overall, no matter what you do you're basically playing dice or roulette but with some video simulation that I personally don't find attractive at all, in case of virtual football it looks to me like some decade old FIFA game animation.

I'm actually looking for this comment because this is also the first thing that came into my head after reading the OP's post but I didn't know that there is also a thing called e-football. Hhmm.., that's interesting. So this one is like a PVP? Because like you said there are two or more players involved.

No, it's a simulation of a game, take a look here, bwin offers one every 3 or 5 minutes:

I don't actually know a single person who bets on these things.
