Trading can be time demanding because if you win, your brain will tell you to continue to trade and you will open new position and watching the market. Also if you are losing, you will keep on watching the market even in the night when you suppose to be sleeping. I have been trading for some years now and I know how it is if there should not deceives ourselves.
We shouldn't see losing as a bad thing. That's what helps keep traders humble 😏. Without losses traders would be full of themselves that they've arrived. As for keeping awake to monitor your trades, don't you think you've yo reconsider your trading strategy as it doesn't suit your temperament. Perhaps, day trading may be better than scalping where you've to consider a higher TF to pick your trades and allow them run their full course with predetermined SL. That way you're sure to be at peace.
This is right, trading could be addictive to some people, and emotionally winning and losing doesn't really have that much different reactions at all. I agree that when you win, you want more, and when you lose, you want to recover, so both do lead to trading more.
I believe it's a sickness if you keep doing that, and because of that I believe that we should avoid it as much as we possibly could, there is no reason to keep doing this. I get that some people are not really that much worried about what will happen and they want more, but it's a risk that they should not be taking. I believe we could avoid this if we know how to handle it, and because of that I believe that the best way to approach this would be just waiting for it.
