I would say I expected the PSG game to end in a draw or even lead to extra time because of how much pressure Monaco put on PSG. The last time these two met, Monaco has to lose in the penalty shootout and so for it to have extended to the 90+ before PSG could get a goal only shows how much Monaco worried them.
This result is a bit painful because Monaco should have been the one to carry the trophy but since they couldn't drive home their chances well enough, I think PSG had to show them how it was done.
It was a decent outing for PSG as they showed their class and was able to snatch a late winner through their star player Ousmane Dembele against a formidable side like Monaco in the Super Cup finals. Now PSG has a cup to their name and am sure they will this win will motivate them to be able to play better and finish this season on a high form.
It will be very bad for Monaco to lose this game also allow PSG to win the league title. Monaco and Marseille still have a chance to snatch the league title from PSG, is not suppose to be repeating it self all the time that PSG will be the champion over them every season. In the second leg of the season I expect Monaco to get a win to reduce the point gap nothing like a draw and to also win their games at hand. I think this league cup is the only trophy PSG are going to win this season that's if those who are in the title race play their part properly by winning too.
