If this happens, will it impact DeSci projects like BIO and make them as strong as established cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH?

DeSci isn't really a new thing even if the acronym is. People tried to fund all sorts of science-based scams back in 2017, because they thought everything needs a blockchain and that would somehow make revenue. So that idea is recycled now, just like all the scams, because there's just too much dumb and new money to ignore.
But yeah, people who would listen to Elon speaking about blockchain tech is definitely good target for scamming.
