Kidnappers demanding for ransom in cryptocurrency is not a new thing and sadly as mass adoption increases, so will the rate at which it is used by bad actors to perpetrate evil increase. As it is right now, I think it will be for our own good to protect ourselves by keeping our crypto activities discreet and to avoid living a flamboyant lifestyle. As this will not only keep us safe but also help not to put the lives of our loved ones in jeopardy.

Seriously. But to me it’s new seeing a kidnapper demanding cryptocurrency for ransom, although I didn’t expect it, and that is why it’s new to me, but unfortunately I believe it is because of the adoption that cryptocurrency has so far; this is to make sure we keep things private and do something indoors to avoid this kind of problem.

Advisably, our public mobile should not contain our crypto wallets for security reason. Get yourself a portable mobile that will contain just your sim and SD card for communication purposes while you carry out your crypto related activities at home or a very private place with a separate phone. By so doing, even if you accidentally attacked you can not be forced to make any withdrawal since nothing related with crypto will not found in the portable phone.

The fact is that whether you have a separate phone or not, kidnappers will actually come for you if they want to. I don’t think having a separate phone will protect you from being kidnapped, so whether someone gets attacked and he is asked to make a transfer of his crypto assets or not, the best thing is to keep our things private; we should not allow any outsider to know that we have crypto holdings, and I think that is what will protect us from it.
