Transparency is good for Bitcoin trust but it's bad for Bitcoin privacy. And as far as I know Advanced blockchain analysis tools can trace transactions while privacy tools such as mixers do exist but have faced issues ranging from regulatory crackdowns due to links with illegal activities, such as the 2022 sanctions on Tornado Cash. Better privacy options can be explored, but they might conflict with Bitcoin's core feature. Much privacy may finally hurt transparency, which is actually very helpful to attain trust and security. It is tricky to create a balance between privacy and transparency, improvements are achievable, but with the structure of Bitcoin, it might never get full both.
