If we compare Manchester City's UEFA Champions League performance this season and other seasons' UEFA Champions League performances, we may see a lot of difference. The team won the UEFA Champions League a few seasons ago but have won just two matches so far this season. Manchester City beat West Ham by a huge margin few a days ago, so maybe their players will be able to play well in their next match. Manchester City will face PSG in their next match. Manchester City's previous record with this team is very good, moreover, this match will be played at PSG's home ground where they will have the Extra advantage.
There's no doubting the fact that Manchester City's performance in the UEFA Champions League this season is poor when compared to what we've been seeing from them since Pep Guardiola took over the managerial position at the club. That said, I think they'll travel Paris Saint Germaine with the sole intention of winning that game since they know their dreams of reaching the knockout stages might be dashed of they lose the game. Their hosts' chances of progressing to the next round is also uncertain at this moment so I expect both teams to give their best in search of all three points in that game.
I don't really understand why the favorite teams in the Champions League did not do very well in this first stage of the group match. Talking about Manchester City, we understand that they had some inconsistency issues this season in the English Premier League which also spanned to the Champions League. But I am also considering if the new format of the Champions League is one of the problems of most of these favorite teams.
As for the meeting with the PSG side, I believe Manchester City knows how important that match is and they will not joke with it. They have not been joking all this while, rather it is football that happened to them. So, same football can happen to them again.
