Often at times people refer to the French League as farmers leagues or not competitive at all and that's true if you at it critically, the only team in the French League is PSG for the past 14 years or so, the rich owner made sure the club buys the mostly the top player from the other teams in the league thereby reducing the chances of those other teams from competing with them. PSG will keep on struggling in Europe because they face no really competition from their leagues.
It is only natural that many people say that the French league is a farmer's league, because a club can dominate the league for a long time, even up to a decade. and before PSG won the French league was Olympique Lyonnais, they dominated the league for 7 seasons. and one of the main factors why the competition in the French league is not so competitive is because of the financial conditions of each club, and clubs that have strong finances, then they will dominate the league. However, if we talk about the farmer's league, I think this does not only happen in the French league, but in other top European leagues the same thing also happens, such as Bayern Munich who dominated the Bundesliga for quite a long time, and so too in La Liga where only Barcelona and Real Madrid dominate the league every season.
PSG came into the limelight in the list of all European teams due to their huge spending. This team has spent a lot of money over the past few seasons and has brought together players that no other club would have dreamed of bringing together to play for the same team. Because of these, PSG was in discussion but despite spending so much money but PSG performance could not come into discussion in any season. Every season they have paid high salaries to the players instead these players have only gifted them one league title which was never enough for them. Every season they spent money just to win the Champions League but they never succeeded in this aim. The team is still performing well in the France league regularly but their Champions League performance is still not very good.
PSG is a club that destroys the market value of players, they often make fantastic offers when interested in the players they want. Their ambition is very high to be able to build the best club in the world, even though the results they get are still far from what is expected.
