Arsenal's near success syndrome have limited them from claiming the English Premier League title in recent years especially in the last two seasons that they dominated the top spot more than any other team managed but still ended up not winning the league. This season that Liverpool have dominated more, I don't think Mikel Arteta's Arsenal will be able to finally lay their hands on the league trophy.
You are right, Arsenal were trying their best to win the Premier League title for the past three season; they did well in their last two season where they missed the EPL title because of inexperienced young players; yet, same thing happened last season where Manchester City came from behind to win the title with just two points ahead of Arsenal.
Arsenal is suppose to be the team that should have won the EPL last season, but injuries and some inexperience also affected the team with Arteta’s fault in some aspects, but it is in the past: and this season that Arsenal is supposed to take the advantage of Manchester City’s poor form, Liverpool took over even though it is not yet over.
I think the major problem that's haunted and limited Arsenal chances of winning the league in the last two seasons is the mentality of the players. The club players in my opinion lacks the strong mentality of a team that believes so much on themselves and until they work on their mentality, I don't think they'll be able to lift the league trophy
I don’t think players mentality matters, but the coach’s fault in several occasions which we have seen so far this season where Arteta is making wrong selection or substation which is leading to goals.
I think Arteta need to take it as a responsibility to win title because he might face threat of been sacked if he didn’t win any trophy this season.
