The current level that you are is a product of the people who you soround your self with because associations matters a lot, in our biology we where taught about different associations that exist in nature which includes symbiosis, mutuality and parasitism etc are different types of associations that organisms in nature undergo for them to survive
It's also true for we as humans being because we should be always be careful of the association that we find ourselves self because any association that is not impacting into you should be stopped because I am of the view that in this year that we have found ourselves if we are to make serious progress economically and others wise then take a careful evaluation of those around you and make changes if necessary
This is definitely a good piece of advice that sometimes gets overlooked. If you hang around with people doing bad things, like committing crime, then even if you are a good person it is more likely that you will fall into those same bad habits. Likewise, you should try to be seeking out scenarios where you are surrounded by people that are a lot cleverer than you - because if you're wise you'll start to pick up a lot of useful knowledge that they will likely be willing to share. The same goes for the sort of content that you watch online, if you get stuck into conspiracy theories then you can end up falling down all sorts of rabbit holes and waste a lot of your brain power on useless garbage that is not going to help you in life.
