It's also true for we as humans being because we should be always be careful of the association that we find ourselves self because any association that is not impacting into you should be stopped because I am of the view that in this year that we have found ourselves if we are to make serious progress economically and others wise then take a careful evaluation of those around you and make changes if necessary
The relationship you keep will determine the kind of information you are exposed to. Some people have gotten sound business opportunities because they were around people who are creative and business-minded. If you stay around people who complain about the government because they depend on them for survival, you might end up having the same mindset. It is better not to have any company than to be around people with a negative mindset.
I do agree with the fact that we need to distance ourself from negative people. But just to cut them off because they aren't helping us is too far, I guess. Sometimes people do have struggles, and they can't give it back at that moment, that doesn't mean they don't matter. On the same note, progress is mostly about your attitude and your action, while people around maybe have some effect but not that much compared to those two factors. You might be in a circle of great people, but if you are not trying, you just won't gain anything. If you think it is a good time to reassess your associations, maybe it also be a good time to support people who are struggling and need your help.
You don't cut off from people because they are not successful or financially stable. They are not well to do because don't have opportunities like others and they are willing to improve their lives if they have the chance. But there are people who are lazy, wasters, parasitic, greedy, and envious. Some people don't want to take risks and are comfortable with failure. Such people should not be part of your circles.
