In this match as usual Borussia Dortmund used the 4-1-3-2 formation, a formation that carries a balance between attack and defense. but bayern leverkusen is not as usual, alonso made a change in formation in his team, where usually using 3-4-2-1 formation, a formation that is quite tiring for midfielders, because they not only have to help in attacking but also in defending. In this match alonso applied 4-4-2 formation, so they can be more balanced in surrendering and defending.

I think Alonso tactics is really working for him, he has kept Bayer Leverkusen in a consistent form after been crown the Bundesliga champions last season Alonso is also working very hard to see if he can retain back the Bundesliga tittle again.

The game between Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen is really an entertaining one we saw how Dortmund was doing the playing in the concluded first half while Bayer Leverkusen is making good use of their chances to score as they had just 5 goals attempt and made good chances of it by scoring 3 goals from 5 goals attempt I believe they will still maintain this lead till end of the game, 2 goals from Schick as Bayer Leverkusen is leading Dortmund 3-1 as the first half result.

It's not about having many chances, what really matters is are you really making good use of your chances? How can a team have more than 10 shots on target and they ain't converting it to goals. A team that's ready to win matches, should score at least two goals from their first five shots on target. Alonso has taught his team how to be very clinical with the ball anytime they are in front of their opponents goal post, and that seems to be working for the team. So far Leverkusen is still leading the match, with 3:2 as Dortmund scored from the penalty spot. Leverkusen should be very careful now before the match will end in a draw. The pressure is now on Leverkusen, but I think it's something they can handle.

Bayer Leverkusen were able to maintain their 3-2 lead against Dortmund till the final whistle which gave them all 3 to close the point gap between them and Bayern Munich who is currently at the top of the league with just a point ahead of Bayer Leverkusen though Bayern Munich still have a game at hand if they win they will definitely be toping Bayer Leverkusen with 4 point which is not much, it has also shown that the Bundesliga tittle race is now between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen this will make the league to be more entertaining and competitive and both teams are in a good form, Alonso will be very much excited if he can retain back the tittle again but Bayern Munich will fight hard to see if they will be the champion this season after missing out to Bayer Leverkusen last season.

Bayer Leverkusen has a very brilliant performance last night as they utilize the chances they created to score 3 goals before 20 minutes of the game, poor defending by Dortmund who couldn't stop the attacking force of Leverkusen as they penetrated their box easily to score goals in the 1st, 8th and 19th minutes of the game. With the win against Dortmund yesterday Bayer Leverkusen is 1 point below Bayern Munich who is going to face the 8th position team Borussia M'gladbach in today's match, a win for Bayern Munich from away will see them maintaining the gap of 4 points between them and Leverkusen but that doesn't stop the competition in the league since they have many more games to play and any poor performance from both rivals will see the other team having more advantage to get the league title.
