It’s official: Abdukodir Khusanov has signed with Manchester City in a €40 million deal. The contract runs until June 2029.
This transfer could be a major milestone for the club and its fans. It will be fascinating to see how Khusanov fits into the team and what role he’ll play in City’s strategy. I’m optimistic he’ll showcase his best qualities on the pitch and help the team reach new heights. Only time will tell how this move pans out!
Interestingly, Khusanov will also become the first Uzbek player to feature in the Premier League—a historic moment in its own right.
https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1877819527171281344I know with the terrible performance Manchester City has in 2024 they will be looking to strengthen the squad and return back to winning ways. And Pep Guardiola has taken a step to strengthen his squad by signing of young Abdukodir Khusanov. Given the physicality of the young defender and his tactical abilities, I think he will make a perfect fit at Manchester City and will add a little bit of solidity to the defense.
Manchester city continues to experience a decline in league performance and I think this season is the worst season Guardiola has experienced since his coaching career, Khusanov arrival is expected to provide an improvement in manchester city performance in the rest of the season, although the chances to be championship look very unlikely of course ending the season in the current UCL zone has become a target that must be fulfilled by guardiola, although Khusanov is still very young, but he can be a positive addition to city, given his speed, strength, and his tactical abilities that stand have so far and I think he will be able to adapt to Guardiola game system which often builds up attacks from below so far.
