In fact, the belief that gambling and alcohol helps to overcome some problems is a deep misconception. If you get away from problems, it does not mean that you solve them. Rather, you are delaying their solution, which is tantamount to running away from problems instead of facing them head-on and coming out of this battle victorious. No problem solves itself. Either you solve it, or someone helps you to do it, but it is obviously not alcohol or gambling.
Lol...I guess you didn't read my post very well, this is not a matter of gambling, gaming or alcohol solving the problem, but letting them serve as a therapeutic to relieve you at that moment.
To many (which includes me), that's where they forget some of those bothering/pressing issues, that's why I said how we view and use them matters. And of course, this will not work for everybody and will not work in all cases, which I mentioned. It is not all problems that can be solved, but some thing scan still help you in the healing process to lessen the hurt/regrets, that's my point.
