...who are the ones generating the most revenue for the gambling industry and its owners, the people who gamble only for fun or those who gamble both for fun and for profit, all the rising population of gambling addicts?..
For the gambling industry, it doesn't matter who brings them income, the one who plays for fun or the one who plays for the sake of winning, as both end up leaving their money there. But I think there are a lot more people who play for fun, although they also have the same goal of winning at the casino.
There are a lot more people who play for fun, no doubt, but the amount those will risk on a single bet won't be the same as the amount those who play for profit will risk on a single bet.

Just like the VIPs, the majority of them all don't fall under the categories of those who gamble for fun. The same thing is applicable with those who are addicted; they play more and spend more while trying to satisfy their urge and also trying to win back eBay they have been losing, which becomes very difficult for them to let go.
