The EPL newly released December individual awards are very unusual, this time there are no representatives from the big six clubs such as City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham. Nuno Espirito Santo selection as the best coach is very reasonable because he managed to lead Nottingham to perform consistently throughout December 2024. Nottingham are now in third place, they are only behind Arsenal on goal difference who are in second place. In addition, Emiliano Martinez won the best goalkeeper award and Alexander Isak as the best player and top scorer during the December edition.
Manager's curse is now going to set in
It's a shame because I have three Nottingham Forest players in my fantasy team but the Manager of the Month award has a certain curse to it. We won it and then started playing like shit for a few weeks. I think Agne won it before too and now look at them. Only Pep seems to be immune to it but they are playing like shit anyway, which I expect to get better now that they are replacing Walker.
