I think the reason why Chelsea have gotten more attention from the media concerning their performances this season when compared to their city neighbors Arsenal is because they started better than Arsenal and were been considered by many as a serious contender for the English Premier League title this season.
Chelsea's performance lately has indeed declined quite a bit, after they were even highly appreciated because of their ability to rise to the top standing, but in the last 4 meetings, the results were really disappointing. 2 draws and 2 losses. If they fail again, then this will waste their previous struggle because their position will drop again.
