Arsenal has been very unlucky. We realize that in the last two seasons, Manchester City has been the main obstacle for Arsenal to win trophies. When Pep Guardiola squad experienced a decline in performance, Arsenal failed to capitalize on the existing momentum. Now, that momentum has fallen into Liverpool hands, and they are taking full advantage of it. Liverpool is not getting significant pressure from its closest rivals. Arsenal and Chelsea seem only able to compete for Champions League qualification. Besides, I think Nottingham Forest deserve more attention at the moment, they seem to be more motivated to fight, even though they don't have the squad depth of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Arse al is actually not lucky enough because if they are lucky enough, they could have won at least one Premier League title in the past two seasons, but lack of maturity of some its players and lack of experience affected them in the first season couple with injuries to some of their key players which affected the team because they lack squad depth then; but last season, I think the Premier League referees also contributed to the reason why Arsenal didn’t win the League because of their inconsistency and bad officiating especially against Arsenal; but yet, Arsenal drags it till the final day in which they lost the League to Manchester City with just two points different.
Arsenal has started this season not so well because we as Arsenal fans expected Arteta to at least sign a striker before the beginning of the season, but he failed to sign a striker because he believe in Kai Harvertz, and the season has became more serious than expected because Liverpool has taken over everything and Chelsea is also back while other average teams are really doing well; however, I will still blame Arteta for some Arsenal inconsistent performances because he is making a lot of mistakes which usually cost us some points.
