AC Milan got off to a poor start which is why they are trying hard now to close the points gap they have already dropped. Considering the points of these two teams, Napoli or Inter Milan, AC Milan's number of points is very low, so it is naturally assumed that AC Milan will end this season like this.
AC Milan's number of points is 27, against Inter Milan's number of points is 43 and Napoli's number of points is 47. Looking at the points of these three teams in the points table, the difference is clearly visible to us.
Inter Milan is close to the points and Inter Milan has played less number of matches so maybe it is possible for Inter Milan to go to the top of the points table but I don't see any chance for AC Milan to be between 1 to 4 in the points table.
AC Milan has two matches to play for having same total 20 matches like Lazio that are standing at the fourth position with 36 points. If AC Milan can get maximum 6 points from these two matches, they will have 34 points, only 2 points less than Lazio, then they will see top four nearer. The uncertainty is with inconsistency of AC Milan in this season, nothing can be sure about their ability to collect maximum 6 points from these matches.
We will have to see when Serie A come to a week with all clubs have same total matches, to have clearer overview on race to top four, top six of the league. Now with some clubs have like 18 or 19 matches, the overview is inaccurate.
