I don't think there is a lack of quality players in Manchester City squad. Pep Guardiola has built one of the most expensive squads in the world. And I believe that they have the best squad together with Real Madrid right now. They are full of star players. If you mean the injury period of some important names then I would agree of course. The absence of players like Rodri affected their efficiency negatively so far.
