Or not always busy, moderately paid enough for needs alone and enough time for family and other activities?
This is my preference.
Family matters more than how much you receive. If you lose your family in pursuit of money you will realize that no amount of money you have or economic status you achieve can buy genuine family love. Be there for your kids and your wife. That's really what there is to life.
You were not created to slave away at your job in pursuit of money. If you die while at it, you will be replaced immediately.
I am also married and have children, I will also choose a job with a moderate salary and spend time with my family. But honestly, I also feel a little regretful about giving up a high-paying job and the chance to become richer. Because in order for us to be able to take care of and give our family the best life, the only way is for us to have a lot of money. If we don't have much money, don't expect our children to have a good life and a bright future.
In general, everything has its price and everyone has their own choice so no matter what choice is made, no one is wrong.
